The Mission of the department is to develop the employability skills as per requirement of industry & corporate sector and to impart quality education in the field of automobile and manufacturing science.

To impart students with knowledge and skills related to Automotive Mechanism, Workshop Operations & Refrigeration Air Conditioning

To inculcate interactive skills in research, design and development of Automotive Systems and allied integrated systems of industrial standards for betterment of society.

The Department of Automobile technology/Workshop technology /Refrigeration & Air Conditioning was established in the academic year 2004 with a sanctioned intake of 60 in each. The department follows the syllabus as prescribed by the affiliating university i.e. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. At present, the department has well qualified faculty members and to supplement the syllabus, guest lectures and industrial visits are organized by the department. Prof. Shrikant Menkudle (Professor, MIT MCVC, Aurangabad) was the resource person who covered importance of Future Opportunities after 12th Vocational Education. He covered different topics related to challenges and opportunities in Higher Education, He point out that Before student can choose the right career, student must learn about self, values, interests, soft skills, and aptitudes, in combination with personality type, make some occupations a good fit for student and others completely inappropriate. He Suggest different courses after 12th Vocational Education which is helpful to student.

A one-day Webinar on “Mastering The Art of INTERVIEW” was organized on the Google Meet on Thursday, 14th June 2020 by B.Sc. AT/WT/RAC Department MIT College, CIDCO, Aurangabad. Dr. Vinay Chandratre, Director, Vibrance Consulting, Pune was the resource person who covered importance of Interview. He covered different topics related to Essential Skill in the interview, Body Language, Resume/CV Pattern etc. When he talked about the Communication skill, he mentioned that these skills are not only important in the interview but also in daily life. He pointed out that in the communication, listening skill is more important. If you are good in the listening skill, you can adopt different things in life. He also mentioned that the verbal and non-verbal communication is important aspect in the conversation. It speaks about your postures, gestures and body movement. He brief the students about how to prepare the resume and what are the key points to add in resume which create impact on employer.

A one-day Webinar on “Electric Vehicles – Future Trends” was organized on the Google Meet on Thursday, 04th June 2020 by B.Sc. AT/WT/RAC Department MIT College, CIDCO, Aurangabad. Prof. Kishor Patil, Principal, MIT Polytechnic College, Rotegaon, Vaijapur was the resource person who covered importance of E-Vehicle in today’s world. He pointed out that the electric car leads to significantly less carbon dioxide pollution from electricity than the CO2 pollution from the oil of a conventional car with an internal combustion engine. Also The newer batteries for electric vehicles, such as those made of lithium-ion, include even more valuable and recyclable metals and will have a life well beyond the vehicle. He also mentions that EV charging station management and repair would be a profitable business. If number of charging stations increase, the possibilities to start and run a complete charging station management is high and Electrical work shop to repair and do electrical related work on electric car is a good business. Electrical motor, circuits etc. would be parts covered by the workshop.
